FAQs

FAQ’s About Our Tours

What happens if there is bad weather on the day of our catamaran tour?

The weather in Mexico at certain times of the year can be very unpredictable.  We may get rain for half an hour and before you look round the sun will be back out.  This is what keeps the beautiful country so green.  We keep a close eye on the weather and the ocean conditions.  If we can see from the satellite that there is going to be a lot of rain we will not send you out.  If the ocean conditions are rough, even on a beautiful sunny day, we will not send you out.  We will contact you and give you the option to the reschedule to another day and if this is not possible we will give you a refund of the deposit paid for your charter.  Additional chef services cannot be cancelled but we can arrange for the chef to come to your villa with any additional food ordered.

What are your policies of cancellation?

For cancellations made 14 days or more before the date of your trip we can provide a full refund.

If you cancel between 3 and 13 days from the date of your departure we will retain 50% of the deposit.

If the cancellation is made with less than 3 days notice the entire deposit will be retained.

Is the boat child friendly?

Youngsters need careful supervision near water and being on a boat is no exception.  Please just remember that they should wear a life jacket at all times and avoid moving around on board unnecessarily, especially if it gets choppy.  There are plenty of shaded areas and they will have a ball swimming, snorkeling and jumping off the boat when we are anchored.

Can I Bring My Own Alcohol?

Yes, no problem at all.  Please just let us know when you arrive and we will have the crew help carry it to the boat and stow it safely to avoid breakages.

Can We Change On Board?

Yes, we have cabins where you can change and also bathrooms although they are quite small!

Can We Play Our Own Music?

Yes, this is no problem at all.  Bring along your smart phone and we can connect it for you.  However, many of our guests leave asking for our guides playlist!  They are always happy to share this information.

How safe are the boats?

We are a family run business and have an excellent reputation for not sending the boats out in poor ocean conditions.  The safety of our guests, crew and our boats in our first priority.

Can I bring my own snorkeling gear?

If you have equipment you are familiar with please bring it with you.  Just remember to take it home at the end of the tour!

We can offer round trip transport in a range of vehicles. Let us know where you are staying and we will confirm the price.

Is there bathroom on board?

There are bathrooms onboard all of our boats.

Are there child life vests on board?

Yes, we are very family friendly and like to encourage youngsters aboard.  We have life jackets for children and infants and snorkel equipment for children too.  Again if they have their favourite mask and fins please bring them.

Is there shade on board?

Our boats all have ample shade throughout the boat as well as some options having airoconditioned saloons.

Could It Be Cold?

In the winter if we have a north wind it can get a little fresh in the evening, especially after swimming or if you are taking a sunset charter.  We recommend that you bring a hoodie or sweater during these months.

What’s the minimum age on the Catamarans?

There is no minimum and maximum age everyone is welcome on board.

What should we bring with us for our Trip?

Please bring your beach towel, sunscreen (biodegradable if possible please) and a tip for the crew, assuming you feel they have done a good job which we are sure you will they will appreciate the recognition.

How accessible is boarding the boats?

There is a simple step from the dock onto the boat to board in the marina.  To get back on the boat after snorkeling there are strong metal ladders at the back of the boat.  Our crew are also very willing to help less able guests board.
